Handmade in our Bedfordshire workshop, our coat racks are designed to last a lifetime.
The oak -
We use the highest quality joinery-grade oak. We do not use the cheaper "character" oak seen elsewhere, which can suffer from splits and cracks. Our oak is 2cm thick, and beautifully solid. The useful 8.5cm deep shelf is neatly and securely attached using a hand-prepared dado wood joint.
The hooks -
Our coat hooks are handmade solid oak shaker pegs with a gentle indentation to hold items securely.
The finish -
After sanding, the coat rack is finished with a clear hard wax oil.
The hard wax oil is scratch and scuff resistant and protects against liquid spills. It is also entirely child and animal safe.
The fittings -
Our coat racks are supplied fully assembled. The mounting holes are pre-drilled and are hidden behind two oak mushroom plugs (three mushroom plugs on the 10 hook racks). We provide both solid wall (brick/stone) fittings and specialist plasterboard (hollow wall) fittings. Our easy fixing pack also includes full fitting instructions.
