SOLID HEAVY OAK WOOD THROUGHOUT – The wood used in our shelves is solid oak and is sanded smooth and finished with a hard wax oil. The oak is a solid 2cm thick. No cheap pine or ‘rustic’ finishes here!
BEAUTIFULLY FINISHED - After sanding, the shelf is finished with a clear hard wax oil. The hard wax oil is scratch and scuff resistant and protects against liquid spills. It is also entirely child and animal safe.
EASY WALL FIXING PACK (FOR BOTH PLASTERBOARD AND SOLID WALLS) – Our shelves are supplied fully assembled. The mounting holes are pre-drilled and are hidden behind two oak mushroom plugs (three mushroom plugs on shelves longer than 80cm). We provide both solid wall (brick/stone) fittings and specialist plasterboard (hollow wall) fittings. Our easy fixing pack also includes full fitting instructions.
MADE IN THE UK – Our wall mounted coat racks and shelves are designed and handmade in the UK. Old Oak Barrel has been making oak coat racks and shelves since 2011.
