How should I care for my purchase?

The coat racks are designed to be used indoors. They have been finished with a hard wax oil, which will protect them from dirt and liquid splashes. None of our items require any specialist care.

The French white oak chosen to make the staves is of the highest quality, free of knots and with a tight straight grain, meaning that it should last a lifetime. The cast iron hooks will generate a beautiful silvery patena as they age. If they are exposed to damp conditions they may begin to discolour, this can be rectified by wiping with a light wax or oil.

The larger oak and cast iron coat racks are heavy (up to 3kg), so we strongly recommend that they are fitted to a solid wall (brick or stone) using the heavy duty fixings included.

Will my item look exactly like those in the pictures?

Every barrel is different, and therefore each barrel stave we use might show natural imperfections, slight variations in colour, grain and dimensions. We believe that these all add
to the uniqueness of every item. The inside of each stave remains a dark red wine
colour, a reminder of its past.

How long will delivery take and will my items be well packaged?

Please see the delivery page for more information on delivery times. We realise that you will want to receive your purchase quickly and we aim to dispatch as soon as possible. If you require your item to be sent for a particular day, we will always try and accommodate this. All items are securely bubble-wrapped and boxed for delivery.

How do I pay for my items and is it safe?

We use Paypal to process all our payments and you will be directed to the Paypal site when you checkout. You do not need to register with Paypal to make a payment, on the Paypal site you will be given the option to make a payment using a debit or credit card. Paypal is an established and safe form or online payment, and means that we do not have acess to any of your financial details. Please contact us if you would like to use an alternative form of payment as we can usually accommodate this

What is your returns policy?

We want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If you are not then please let us know as soon as possible. We will provide refunds for items returned to us in an unused condition within 14 days. Return postage costs cannot be refunded unless the item is faulty.
